Learn the rules of Sevens

Check the rule below as you play. Play every card to four suit sequences that expand outward from their sevens. Try the rule on the board, then read the next instruction. A standard deck is dealt to four players, thirteen cards each.

Four-player free Sevens with three local computer opponents. This table uses the seven-of-diamonds opening and low Aces.

Practice beyond the first move

Take a moment to check the current turn. Extend the low end or high end of an open suit by one rank. Aces are low below twos; kings are the high end. Keep the goal in mind before your next move.

The challenge in front of you

Check the rule below as you play. Play every card to four suit sequences that expand outward from their sevens. The game area remains available above the explanation.

A walkthrough of the rules

  1. A standard deck is dealt to four players, thirteen cards each.
  2. The holder of 7♦ must play it first. Other suits can open with their own seven.
  3. Extend the low end or high end of an open suit by one rank. Aces are low below twos; kings are the high end.
  4. Play a legal card whenever possible. Passing is allowed only when no card fits.
  5. The first player with an empty hand wins the round.

Keyboard and screen controls

Read the position before choosing your next action. Tap an enabled card from your hand. The suit rows show cards already played. Use Pass only when it is enabled. Try the rule on the board, then read the next instruction.

Follow the example

Keep the goal in view while choosing a move. After 7♥ is opened, 6♥ or 8♥ can be played. 5♥ must wait until 6♥ is on the table. Start a new round when you are ready to try again.

Where a round can go wrong

A careful first move helps you understand the round. A matching rank in another suit does not extend an existing row. Every suit has its own sequence.
